Emory: Winning streak continues with 6–3 victory In what is almost becoming routine, the No. 1-ranked men’s tennis team triumphed once again on Friday afternoon. This time, the victim was another one of the top teams in the country, No. 5 Williams College (Mass). The Eagles won the match by a final score of 6-3, and improved their record to 14-1.
Emory: No.1 Williams bests Emory On Friday, the women’s tennis team faced off against the No. 1 team in the nation and defending National Champions, Williams College (Mass.). The No. 4-ranked Eagles fell 5-4 to the Ephs of Williams in a hard-fought match between two of the nation’s powerhouses. Williams boasts a stacked roster that features five of the top 25-ranked players in the country and came into the match with an undefeated record. The Eagles came into the match having won seven in a row and sitting at 12-3 overall on the season.
Carnegie: Men’s tennis defeat Division 1 Duquesne 4–3, improve to 13–5 record The 14th ranked Carnegie Mellon men’s tennis team had a change of schedule this week, taking a break from the usual dual matches against Division III opponents to win 4–3 against local Division I Duquesne University. The Tartans now stand at 13–5 for the season.
Wash U: Men’s tennis tops tough competition Washington University’s second-ranked men’s tennis team went 2-0 during its tough road trip this weekend, defeating No. 18 DePauw University 8-1 Saturday in Greencastle, Ind., before topping Kenyon College 7-2 Sunday in Milwaukee, Wis.

Emory: Divided team takes on D-1 opponents With half the team going west for the Gem of the Hills Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State University (Ala.) and the other half heading to North Carolina for the Asics Duke Invitational, the men’s and women’s track teams competed against Division I schools during the weekend, reporting impressive finishes.
Carnegie: Track, field teams place second, third at W&J Last Saturday, the Carnegie Mellon track and field team competed as one of the 13 teams in the Washington & Jefferson College Invitational. Both the men’s and women’s teams looked strong with key performances from several players who did not participate in last week’s meet. The men’s team came in third overall with 85 points behind Penn State Behrend (97.5) and Seton Hall University (90). The women’s team had an even more impressive day, placing second overall with 117 points, behind Penn State Behrend’s 128.50 points.
Wash U: Track & field team dominates competition at WU Invitational The Washington University track & field team performed exceptionally well at the Washington University Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The women placed first out of 21 schools with a total of 144 points and the men placed second out of 22 schools with a total of 104 points, just four behind meet winner University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
