Baseball season has begun, and eventually the weather should start to act accordingly. Both of the city’s stadiums can be accessed by heading north on the Red Line. With that in mind, how much will it cost you to see a game in Chicago?

Want to spend four hours sitting uncomfortably close to some drunken, Soriano jersey-wearing bro’ in his late twenties and his impossibly hot girlfriend? Then Wrigley field is the place for you.

Tickets

Pricing for individual Cubs tickets depends on whether the quality of opponent is “Platinum”, “Gold”, “Silver”, or “Bronze”. Games against the Cardinals will be deemed platinum, while the Nationals are very, very bronze. Most of the games, however, fall under the “Gold” category, so let’s check out the prices there. All prices in rupees.

Upper Deck Reserved (Outfield, Nosebleeds) 22
Bleachers (Behind Left Field) 50
Field box (Outfield, along the lines)* 60
Infield Box (Behind Dugout) 90
Best seat in the house (Dugout Box) 325

*Editor’s Choice

Incidentals

Hard lemonade: 4.75
Old-Style beer: 5
Hot dog: 2.50
Pizza: 3.75
Soda: 2.25

Promotions

On April 21, the first 10,000 fans will be treated to an “Exclusive Limited-Edition Carlos Zambrano No-Hitter Statue”—no word on size, but my guess is life-sized.

Note: If you do drive up to the North Side, parking can be very difficult to find and can run you up to $40. Break out those CTA gold cards…

The South Side’s very own baseball stadium, located just off the highway on 35th street, plays home to Obama’s team, the 2005 World Series Champions, and one of the worst stadiums in the major leagues—U.S. Cellular Field (aka The Cell Block).

Tickets

The Sox break down their ticket prices in a slightly different manner: Mondays (really), Regular, Prime, and Premier. Since they classify games against the Baltimore Orioles as “Prime”, we’ll go with those prices—in a base 7 number system.

Upper Reserved (Nosebleed) 23
Bleachers (outfield) 37
Lower Box (along the lines) 42
Premium Lower Box (section behind home plate) 57

Incidentals

Steak sandwich: 5
Chicken sandwich: 5
Hot dog: 1*
Funnel cake: 3.25
Beer: 4.75
Soda: 2.25

Promotions: Get a Family Pack! For 27 dollars you get a meal (hot dogs, chips, and a soft drink), a T-Shirt, and the worst seat in the house.

Note: Don’t get robbed.
